KFDM COOP Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 BC gets by Kelly From staff reports The Orange Leader BEAUMONT — It took all five games for the Bridge City Lady Cardinals to take down the Beaumont Kelly Lady Bulldogs. Led by 10 kills from senior Sarah Armand, the Lady Cardinals won the match 19-25, 19-25, 28-26, 25-13 and 15-7. Bridge City is now 12-7 on the year and will face Nederland at home on Friday. Sophomore Maggie Stump put in eight kills for the Lady Cardinals who also got 17 assists from junior Emily Kosh. Bria Thibodeaux, Mallory Guidry and Kosh each had nine digs. Sophomore Sara McPherson finished with three aces while senior Sam West collected two blocks.
Red Pepper Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Looks like Coach Mathews is trying to get the ladies playing together since returning Sam to the lineup. Sometimes it takes a while and sometimes a coach can never create/recreate a winning lineup after changing the rotation of the players. If anyone can get Big Red playing together; I'm confident she will have all those Super Sophomores "Gelling" with the few Juniors & Seniors soon.
