footballwild Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 what is yalls thoughts on the new deweyville spread offense
BIGMO44 Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 RUN THE BALL BEHIND THOSE BIG BEHINDS!!! :o
Piratesdad4410 Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 IMO we do not have the speed it takes to run this OF . I feel like we need to line up in wish bone or triple I pound the ball and mix in some play action pass. I feel like d-ville has a real good team if the coaches would run the Offense that fits the kids this is just my Opinion
HDcats0422 Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 new spread offense? what have they been running? cuz i know when we played them my senior year in '03 when they had zane they went to the spread offense even though he rushed for like close so 2,000 yards his junior year...and they had a huge line that year too!
AllstarDad8 Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 When i saw them play I thought they could've run more than they did. I like their offense though because the defense cant play up as much. The only thing that i saw was that theeir QB was a little short tryin to see over the big line.
SteelerCzy Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 RUN THE BALL BEHIND THOSE BIG BEHINDS!!! :o If we do that, we have an opportunity, barring anymore injuries, to be a good football team. IMO.
24 over par Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 i would like to see keeton or cain at qb so they can get the ball more
AllstarDad8 Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 I believe that they are better with both of them at backs because when you take away a great back there is limited plays to run. With both of them in the backfield it gives you three run threats including the QB, who from what i seen wasnt that bad of a runner.
Guest beat-em_deep Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 RUN THE BALL BEHIND THOSE BIG BEHINDS!!! :o Ground and Pound throw occasionally to keep it balanced.
setxathlete14 Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 deweyville doesnt have the right personel or speed to run that offense... they will find out when they play a sub-par team...go back to the wishbone
tupac7 Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 spread sucks for the dville. This guy couldn't run the spread in new diana, and now he is trying to do it dville. Hard to run at small schools. Line up ans run the ball. good luck!
iamthekingbee Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 What I see is an offense designed to ware out the defense, it's a fast pace offense that keeps the defense guessing at what is next... So far I like it and I think we need to see how things play out before you go throwing in the towel. And how fast does an offense have to be????? Keaton , Cane, Destin and Joe, those aren't some turtles back there!!!!!
Htexans90 Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 o-f-f-e-n-s-e Kane Katstik (or however you spell it) used to go to LCM, i wish he would have stayed
DP#1FAN Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 o-f-f-e-n-s-e Kane Katstik (or however you spell it) used to go to LCM, i wish he would have stayed Got to go where you can win.
Htexans90 Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 the reason he moved is he felt he fit in better there
captainclaude Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 My thought is that I am sure this new coach is a good guy and probably knows what he is doing with this offense but at some point we need to quit hiring people that try and fit our kids to a system that is tailored to a large school or a team with 4.5 to 4.6 padded speed, and hire someone who will bring a smash mouth between the tackle 3 yard and a cloud of dust first down offense that fits our players as they are extremely!!!!!!!!! successful with it early on and the only difference from youth to High School is the system. This group of kids were Champions in youth football and had a great junior high career and were undefeated JV players we will see what Varsity brings. In my opinion we could compeat with anyone if we used the kids strengths and those are strength, heart, disire to win,the knowledge of winning, size and overall toughness. Also in my opinion spread offense cattors to speed, finesse, a big arm and receivers who can stretch the field. I wish this coach well as do I the kids as I have coached almost all of them and M.D seems like a good guy but I want POWER football. Sorry!
DP#1FAN Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Hard to block 9 in the box. I like a balanced attack run and pass (when 9 in the box).
piratepride86 Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 i agree with captainclaude. smashmouth football right up the gut nis best for deweyville, always has and always will.
setxathlete14 Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 o-f-f-e-n-s-e Kane Katstik (or however you spell it) used to go to LCM, i wish he would have stayed now don't forget there is a huge diff. between being successfull in 2A and 4A
stangchain Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 o-f-f-e-n-s-e Kane Katstik (or however you spell it) used to go to LCM, i wish he would have stayed now don't forget there is a huge diff. between being successfull in 2A and 4A What is the difference? success is success is success, wherever it is. And, might I add....success in one place does not mean success in another place. I don't have a dog in this fight, but I am interested in football and I don't agree with your statement.
AllstarDad8 Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 o-f-f-e-n-s-e Kane Katstik (or however you spell it) used to go to LCM, i wish he would have stayed now don't forget there is a huge diff. between being successfull in 2A and 4A I believe Kane would be a good back in all levels. He fights for the extra yardage as he is going down. Those extra 1 or 2 yards are the most under rated features in a back!
SteelerCzy Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 o-f-f-e-n-s-e Kane Katstik (or however you spell it) used to go to LCM, i wish he would have stayed now don't forget there is a huge diff. between being successfull in 2A and 4A Don't agree with ya there, depends on the other 10 players on the field with you, Kane is a good, to above average running back that happens to play on a 2a team with an outstanding offensive line, if he was to play on a 4a team with a outstanding offensive line then he would still be considered a good to above average running back.
Volley_baller2010 Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 they need alot to help them...just sayin
