How Can We help East Chambers and Anahuac

  I know there are rules about playing games when school cannot be in session.  I Believe that there should be special consideration when things happen beyond your control.  Yes they could go play for other teams but will the players who could go on to college football get the recognition they need for college recruiters.  If anyone has any ideas how to help please give us your ideas.  Maybe we can adopt a player and help buy equipment, etc.  This goes for volleyball too.  Can't let the girls down too.

  For the record I know there are other schools that need help too,  my son plays in district 23-2A.  For anyone reading this and is thinking why help, do really want to say we won the district title and got 2 foreits from teams who could not play?  If you feel that is ok, you are not a true fan or athlete.

The rule about not playing while the school is not in, is strictly a local option decided  by the super.

i play in district 23-2a and i was lookin forward 2 playin those two games....i think the team and coachin staff and town should go 2 tha skool board...

Hey crazy,

quit acting CRAZY - do you really think that district 23-2A is going to not have these two teams playing in district?  Crap, that would send two non-deserving teams to the playoffs with the absence of these two teams.  Trust me, things will be worked out.  In fact, there is a district meeting tomorrow to decide what is going to happen in the district, and that meeting does not include the forfiture of Anahuac and East Chambers.  One of these two options will probably happen:

Week one of district will stay the same except Anahuac and East Chambers may have to change sites if they have home games

or

Week one of district play will roll to week 11 which is the open week of the playoffs for district 23-2A due to 24-2A not having football schools.

The second option seems to be the most fair and obvious solution but you never know what they will decide.  I know Anahuac will start practicing again this week but not sure about East Chambers.  Trust me, neither team will be a forfeit and neither will be an easy one so gear up!!
