gringo Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 I'll be there - tell me about Cleveland - I hear that they have some speed!
ncplaya Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Cleveland has some speed as always. Its been a while since these two have met. It used to be a huge rivalry.
ncplaya Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Cleveland by 10 points. Your out of your mind. Clevelands good but give me a break.
Lightning/Eagle Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Cleveland by 10 points. Does Cleveland actually have a kicker that can kick a field goal? How else do you expect them to have a 10 point advantage. I think it will be New caney 21 Cleveland 6.
silentassasin Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Seen both play and I believe that Cleveland is going to surprise people Friday night. The only reason why most of you are saying this is because it is a 5A vs. a 3A school but NC is not a good 5A school. I did not mean to ruffle anyone up or anything and if they win then I will admit I was wrong but will any of you say the same if they lose to Cleveland? I know that New Caney has some talent and unfortunately they are in a phenomonal district and won't win many district games but don't start acting like this is not possible. On paper most 5A schools will wipe the field with a 3A but you don't play the game on paper. so if Tullos and company play like they are capable of then I see them having a chance.
ncplaya Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 I agree. they have a chance and are a very athletic team. I just think regardless of how NC will do in their District or 5A it is a totally different level of play. Tullos and his staff will have them ready to play and it will be interesting since the last time they played was in '95 with NC winning 56-0.
gringo Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 I have heard that Cleveland has a real good team. NC defense is playing pretty well and should be ok, just not sure if offense can move the ball. I'm going with NC!
Elroy Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Seen Tullos' boys play and their pretty dang good. Their talent level this year is unbelievable. BUT, you can't compare a 3A to a 5A. NC EAGLES!!!!
10red Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 NC may be a 5A team but they dont play like one. How many games did they win last year like 3? If NC wins this game i will be surprised. Cleveland has a good team, i think they are too good for NC. Ill take the tribe in this one.
Guest BLUEMOOSE Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 I dont know if New Caney can tackle those backs from Cleveland, I agree, not comparison between 3A and 5A but speed is SPEED!!!! New Caney lacks what Cleveland has.
silentassasin Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Guess I am not alone in my prediction. To explain to the earlier poster who said they would need a kicker to win by ten let me just say it will be 16-6, there is the ten points.
frosty Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 cleveland hasnt allowed a point to be scored on them yet. cant wait to watch this game!
texaslonghorn14 Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Cleveland will beat NC. The argument is that it is a 5A vs 3A, well NC wasn't a very good 4A last year. Cleveland will have more athletes and the town will get up for this game.
bobtex Posted September 26, 2008 Author Report Posted September 26, 2008 Cleveland wins 30-0! Cleveland is going places this year!!!!!
silentassasin Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Well, like I said that I will admit when I was wrong. I guess Cleveland was not 10 points better than NC.
Guest dailynews Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 I wanna hear some more about the difference between 5A and 3A NCPlaya, seems like a whole nother level. But CLEVELAND still has not been scored on. What happened????? let the excuses begin....
Tha Expert Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 what is Cleveland's offense looking like this year.? what are they running.
frosty Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 looked like the slot t. they are real physical and pound the ball over and over again. it was a great game if youre a cleveland fan.
silentassasin Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 Just like I thought. I did not figure that any of the NC supporters would be mature enough to come on here and say that Cleveland was the better team last night. Saw the stats in the paper this morning and there is not any way you can say based on those that the game was closer than it looked, or that Cleveland had a bunch of breaks. Or any of the other excuses people give when the underdog on paper wins big.
oldeagle42 Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 Well you were wrong, friday night Cleveland showed they could play ball. New Caney on the other hand did not. As a former Eagle player I can sadly admit Cleveland earned the win. Congrats Coach Tullos and staff.
gringo Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 Just like I thought. Cleveland was a much better team. New Caney has no offense - yet they continue to try to run the spread each week. Cleveland was hungry and executed very well against a bigger and stronger team. Congrats to Cleveland and Tullos on a fine job!
