Basketball Season-Ticket Renewal Deadline Extended To Oct. 3

Due to the university closing as a result of Hurricane Ike, the Lamar athletics department has announced that the deadline for men's and women's basketball season-ticket renewals has been extended to Friday, Oct. 3.

They need to extend through the month of October. They will have plenty of time to put the tickets up for the general public in November. I mean a Hurricane just destroyed 3 cities and basketball tickets aren't a top priority for thousands of people.

Rule of thumb from what I've been told in the ticketing business is you put up single-game tickets a month before the season. Could delay the beginning of single-game ticket sales if you wait any longer on renewals....

Thanks for clearing that up TT. I just hope they don't give our tickets away before I can get them renewed. If not, I'll have to use my student ID and get them for free.  ;D
