Guest abovetherim Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Give Gilligan a upgraded baseball facility (the $5 million) assigned to renovate Vincent-Beck and Lamar will be in the Top 40. I heard from a source Gilligan isn't crazy about adding football and thinks he could win a NC if he were given $25 million. Well, that isn't going to happen but the man deserves better facilities and he would put a great team together with better resources.
Guest coachacola Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Coach Gilligan certainly does deserve better facilities. They are coming, but it's a little piece here, a little piece there. Isn't the timeline on all the enhancements for Vincent-Beck about 4 years? I guess if a big donor stood up then upgrades would happen faster.
TexasTerror Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Wonder where SHSU stood as far as baseball recruiting goes before we lost two HS players to the top 12 rounds of the MLB draft and believe lost another one a bit later...
Guest abovetherim Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I'm sure it was very high. So SHSU did lose their top recruits due to their signing professional contracts?
TexasTerror Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I'm sure it was very high. So SHSU did lose their top recruits due to their signing professional contracts? Yep -- apparently some quality baseball players. They went a bit higher than I think they thought they were going to go...
