TexasTerror Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Jan. 28 Houston State Where are they located and what classification are they? Div II, Div III? NAIA? Not sure why SHSU has not scheduled them before, they a new school?
Guest abovetherim Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Sorry, but I think they meant Sam Houston State. Wow, Coach Tidwell has three Big XII schools and UH. I can't see them getting a much better schedule! I hope the new recruits are ready for some big time competition. I wish the transfer from OU was eligible this season!
TexasTerror Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Sorry, but I think they meant Sam Houston State. Wow, Coach Tidwell has three Big XII schools and UH. I can't see them getting a much better schedule! Is Houston an exhibition? Nov. 6 -- you can't play basketball that early, can you? I think Nov 14 is when things get rolling...hence, the Grambling season opener (per the article). Houston may be a closed-door scrimmage, must be -- doubt two Div I teams would play an exhibition unless someone is doing a favor for someone. Just makes no sense...but what do I know? ** UPDATE ** -- Houston does not list the game, but a Nov. 14 game against SLU as their opener. It must be closed door and a mistake to have on the schedule... This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up
Guest abovetherim Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 The regular season starts with Grambling State on Nov. 19. The exhibition with UH is probably a favor to Coach Tidwell as he and Coach Curl are very good friends.
