great announcing there mike

and on that 2 point conversion that yall were just talkin about

there would have to be "indisputable visual evidence"

that the kelly guy did not catch it

since the ruling on the field was a complete pass

just tryin to clear things up for yall

Thanks, VP.  That's the phrase we couldn't remember.  On viewing the replay (which, of course, the Refs can't do) the receiver was juggling the ball as his knees touched.  No

catch - in my opinion of course.  tigersvoice.

Stars of the game, both Kelly and Silsbee, offense and defense ?

Here are some impressions that I had of individuals in the game:

For Kelly, Prewitt is a very good QB.  I was most impressed with his arm strength, particularly on the short and intermediate routes.  He gets the ball to target in a hurry.  Of course, the deep throw to Narcisse wasn't too bad either.  On defense, Schrapps of Kelly plays his position very well AND HE IS A FRESHMAN.  He defended his area in a manner that would indicate more experience than he has.  He was very close to intercepting twice on routes that he jumped - both would have been run backs for scores.  This young man has a very bright future.

For Silsbee, it seemed for most of the early part of the game that Johnson was

indecisive.  This probably was due to the lack of football action (a bit of rust set in) because of the storm shut down.  As the game wore on Johnson's decisions, timing and pace of play returned and he CAN PLAY at a breath taking level.  A good sign for Silsbee was a

little "Put your helmet in the defenders face" kind of running by Bolton.  Generally, Silsbee's rushing attack is lacking and that's because we haven't been able to replace the number of and quality of players that graduated last year.  Silsbee has its own Freshman defensive star, Keefer, playing linebacker.  As with Kelly's Schrapps, Keefer plays at a level that belies his age/experience.  Defensively, Silsbee has a lot of growing to do.  Our inexperienced secondary caused Prewitt's eyes to light up and he exposed some serious weaknesses.  But you play with the best that you have and because you coach in a hurry doesn't mean that the young players will come around in a hurry.

In district I still see WO-S as the clear favorite but I do think Silsbee will have one of the other two places that advances to the playoffs.

Is it true that kelly has 2 freshmen starting on defense? I wasnt at the game on friday but someone told me that they had a linebacker #75 and a saftey #15 who were both freshman. If so, how did they do
