KFDM COOP Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Friendswood 27 Texas City 22 FINAL
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 not really an upset the way the 'stangs beat dayton
Guest TravelingBandsman Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 I'd hope we get Friendswood in the playoffs if we somehow get Division 1. I think by the time that day rolls around, we'll be ready for a rematch.
HoopInsider_Cooper Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 'Wood was down 16-14 @ half. Their QB, Jacob Karam, will has committed to Tech.
FriendswoodFan Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 Yes, that's right, Dayton will miraculously learn how to beat Friendswood. That's a good one!

dayton Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 Yes, that's right, Dayton will miraculously learn how to beat Friendswood. That's a good one! always lurking... sounded like a good game on some other boards. Good luck to you guys... hope you can make the playoffs this year and make a little noise.
FriendswoodFan Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 The FW-TC game was, indeed, a good one. A bit sloppy at first, but two very good teams going at it until the very end. TC's line, on both sides, were able to stand up to FW all night -- something that was missing in the Dayton game. I don't know how that gets better in just a few weeks. And, hopefully, that "this year" crack was not meant as a sarcastic jab at FW because FW has made the playoffs much more consistently than Dayton over the last decade -- and beyond..

FriendswoodFan Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I stand corrected. I could have sworn that Dayton missed the playoffs a couple of times in the early 2000s, but if you say not, I believe you. As to whether Dayton will be better along the lines if the two teams play again, I think they are just outmatched.

I assume we'll never know beyond the game on 9-5 as I doubt we end up in the same playoff division. IMO, you guys should wind up undefeated on the year. It really has been fun to watch karam the past 3 years and I hope you guys have a great run this year... seriously.
