82 5A State Champs Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Vidor could still pull this one out with a loooooooooong FG not likely......it'd be a 67 yard FG attempt!
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Central is gonna win this ....what a game
82 5A State Champs Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 KUDOS to Vidor on hangin in there. They almost pulled off the upset. 21-20 Central.
adminbaberuth Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Those two teams always play it close.
82 5A State Champs Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Those two teams always play it close. Yes they do!
TNTITANS Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 My heart is breaking for the Pirates! Â You guys played your hearts out that last quarter. Â Great try guys!!
82 5A State Champs Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 If Coach Stowers had Vidor's heart and determination in his Jaguar players bodies, Central would be unstoppable, IMO!
BIGMO44 Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Sounds like both teams left it all on the field!!!
BigWolf10 Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Stowers heads going to be a little bit grayer after this one
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 i now pronounce this as a rivalry game ........hmmm.... "Battle of I-10" ???
Guest bucwheat Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 The question of the night!!! should they have went for two????
Guest KHS 89 Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 The question of the night!!! should they have went for two???? Yes, you gotta be in it to win it.
Guest bucwheat Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I say go for two also..they are lucky they scored that last one and I believe they should have went for two also...Just my opinion..
TradinUp BH Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Didn't that happen several years ago in this game and Vidor didn't convert. Â Maybe I'm wrong but for some reason I thought they had a situation like that and everybody said thay should've kicked a PAT. Â That's a tough one no matter how you look at it.
BigWolf10 Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 The question of the night!!! should they have went for two???? Yes, you gotta be in it to win it. Yea, and stowers should have went for that first down at the end too. A well fought game. Hats off to the PIRATES, much respect.
Guest bucwheat Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 wasnt there but listened to it on here..sounded like great game..central started getting there running game cranked up in the second half..Hard fought game..BUT too many penalties and turnovers and you wont be beating anyone
vidor pirate Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I say go for two also..they are lucky they scored that last one and I believe they should have went for two also...Just my opinion.. dont even start wuith the luck, i heard it throughout the first 2 games of course you would say go for 2 cuz the pat was blocked, but would you rather tie the game and go into ot knowing that your team has all the momentum and are playing at home or risk losing on a 2 point conversion

Im just thinking that in this district, a win with a statement beats a tie, or a win in OT. Â I think Vidor had the momentum and should have went for it. Â BUT.... if they wouldn't have made the 2 point conversion, then everyone would be coming out of the woodwork saying they should have went for the tie.
vidor pirate Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 wasnt there but listened to it on here..sounded like great game..central started getting there running game cranked up in the second half..Hard fought game..BUT too many penalties and turnovers and you wont be beating anyone ohhh the penalties... dont even start on the nonexisting penalties... 1 of which took away a fumble recovery for us on centrals 30 yard line, and another that took away an onside kick...

Guest bucwheat Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 too many penalties.,and too many turnovers..I dont know Pirate if you are agreeing with me or not ,but there sounded to me like too many penalties..
