stangchain Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 Thanks. I thought the jv was playing, too, but hated to say something in case I was wrong. How'd the 9th grade do, or do you know?
KFDM COOP Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 9th Grade WOS won 38-6. JV leads 8-0 after 1.

KFDM COOP Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 WO-S JV 36 Memorial 6 Final Thanks Gas for the Updates
Guest Indian Chief Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 A WO-S coach told me a month or so back the WOS JV group is one of the best groups they've ever had.
stangchain Posted October 1, 2008 Author Report Posted October 1, 2008 I have heard they are a scrappy bunch!!!! They will get after you. I saw them play Kirbyville before the storm. Couple of pretty good players on there with room to grow.

You are sad that WOS jv is beating Memorial? no, im afraid for next year for PAM if they cant beat a 3A team. guess the talent level is starting to decline ??? You know we have a gang of Huhen School grads coaching down in PA---except for RBs coach Joe Smith, an old SFA coach from the good ole days....
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 something has to be done down there for real.
Gasilla Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 All that 3A, 5A stuff is just a bunch of hype. I sat on the Memorial side tonight and one of the Memorial fans told me that their JV was undefeated. The WOS Freshman and JV teams are just good... good athletes and good coaches. You only play 11 at a time, your best 11 against there best 11. If yours are better than theirs it doesn't matter if they have 50 left or you have 10. Only those 11 can play. I counted 70 kids on the Memorial sideline, WOS 22 and those 22 administered a freakin beatdown.
tam2121 Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Memorial had about 60 players easily to Wos about 26 or so and wo-s dominated both the freshman and JV games.
Guest Penny Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Gas, or other wos fans, did anyone catch the Ned/WOS freshman game, didn't hear a score. I know ned is supposed to have a jam up fresh group and was wondering how they did against a good stang group. tks.

That says alot about our coaches off the field and the off season programs that set out for them.
