The loss drops the Ganders to 2-1 in District 21-5A play and 3-3 overall. The Ganders’ only win came in mixed doubles with Johnny Alaniz and Amie Magallon winning 6-3, 6-1. In boys’ doubles, Dillon Eastman and Lee Sandhop lost 2-6,4-6 at No. 1; Kyle Pierce and Shrideep Waghela lost 2-6, 0-6 at No. 2; and Cody Childress and Hatten lost 3-6, 1-6 at No. 3. In girls’ doubles, Kaitlyn Martin and Cassandra Munoz lost 0-6, 1-6 at No. 1; Courtney Cantu and Janet Charles lost 1-6, 6-7 at No. 2; and Arredondo and Crystal Napier lost 5-7, 2-6 at No. 3. In boys’ singles, Eastman lost 2-6, 2-6; Sandhop lost 1-6, 1-6; Pierce lost 6-7, 2-6; Alaniz lost 1-6, 6-7; Waghela lost 3-6, 3-6; Childress lost 1-6, 1-6. In girls’ singles, Martin lost 0-6, 1-6; Munoz lost 1-6, 3-6; Magallon lost 1-6, 1-6; Charles lost 2-6, 1-6; Napier lost 2-6, 2-6; and Cantu lost 1-6, 2-6. Next up for the Ganders is a home match against Sterling Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
