Nederland goes into Orange county to play the Bears of LC-M.  This game will be a glorified scrimmage for the Bulldogs as the 3rd string ends up finishing the 4th quarter.  The Bulldogs defense posts a shutout while the offense gains yards at will.  Bulldogs win big and enjoy their highlights on the instant replay scoreboard.

Livingston vs PN-G

The Indians begin a new era in the rich history of PN-G football.  This Friday they play in the newly redone Reservation, now easily the Taj Majal of all high school stadiums east of the Trinity River.  The beating drums of Cherokee and the 8,000 plus Indian fans will be too much for the Livingston Lions to bear.  The Indians ride the tide of emotion to a big 2nd half.  PN-G gets back into the victory column while the Lions are one more loss away form playoff elimination.

Vidor vs Ozen

Vidor sails the Black Pearl into Zaharias stadium and pillage the Panthers.  The Pirates will sweep the Panthers into submission as their defense plays a strong game.  The Pirates continue their fine season with a big win Friday, while the Panthers are still seeking their first win.

Central vs Lumberton

Central travels up the Eastex Freeway to take on the Raiders on Friday.  The Raiders realize the importance of this game and will put up a valiant effort to defend their homefield, but in the end the speed of the Jaguars will be too much.  Look for several long plays to be the difference.  The Jaguars will be celebrating on the way back to Beaumont while the L-Train fans face the realization that one more loss will virtually eliminate them from the playoffs.

Kingwood Park hosts Galena Park.  After Friday night one thing will be clear.  One of these teams will enter into the victory column in district play.  Toups Graphics predicts a defensive game with Galena Park scoring twice in the 4th quarter to seal the victory.  Galena Park notches a district victory while Kingwood Park is left still searching for their first victory.

Barbers Hill vs Goose Creek Memorial

Barbers Hill travels to Stallworth Stadium for a Thursday night showdown with the newest school in Baytown.  Look for the Eagles to start slow then build altitude while soaring to a victory.  Memorial puts up a galiant 4th quarter comeback but in the end falls short.  Barbers Hill goes to 2 and 1 while Memorial will have to wait another week for a district victory.

CE King vs North Forest

North Forest defends their homefield on Friday.  Look for North Forest to bulldoze CE King with a relentless running game.  The Bulldogs run the veer to perfection while rolling up over 300 yards in rushing on their way to victory.  After Friday Night there will be a log jam of 2 and 1 teams in 19-4A including CE King and North Forest.

News flash....

Crosby pharmacies run out of valium as Cougar fans treat their anxiety attacks from flashbacks of recent Bronco - Cougar football game results. 

Over the last decade the Broncos have had the Cougars number as they have stampeded the Cougars with blow out after blow out.  The Cougars will come into Bronco stadium hungry on Friday, but they will leave unsatisfied.  The Bronco's will come out with a huge hard fought victory on Friday.  Look for the Cougars to play the Broncos close in the first half.  The Bronco offense will break open the game with a couple of big plays in the third quarter.  The Broncos stay perfect in district play while the Cougars must wait yet another year to get a victory over Dayton.

Picks sound good to me.  I do think LCM will score at least once.. although Nederland might score more than 42.... and Ozen will score more than 7 but still fall.
