Just curious....

Is it up to each individual district how to seat (SEED) the 4 playoff teams...

Will the process be (with no ties and no "special meetings")

Take the top four teams in the standings.

The two largest enrollments go big school in order of standings.

The two smallest enrollments go to small school in order of standings.

Then....

Will the district pair off by playing the #1 vs the #2 in each category?

I think you mean "seeding".

The districts have no say so in what seed each team will be if the case doesn't require a tiebreaker. The two largest schools will go Div.1 and the two smallest will go Div. 2. How they are seeded will be determined by order of finish in district.

Thanks for the grammar correction...

There is a reason why I am a math teacher.

Odds are in 20-4A there will probably be a tie breaker involved in the third and fourth place "seed".

Could be a log jam of three teams involved.

I am inclined to agree with you. I believe there will be a tiebreaker but there shouldn't be as much controversy. With 2 schools going to each division and not 1 and 2 like last year, it should work itself out. We'll see. ::)

What are the biggest schools in the district? Nederland and PN-G? Can someone give me an order of enrollment sizes from top to bottom?

I believe the top four enrollment wise are:

1.  Central

2. Nederland

3. PND

4. Vidor

The crazy thing is that I believe these will be the four playoff reps from 20-4A and probably in this order.

I looked it up.  I was close

Central (1537)

Ned (1512)

Vidor (1430)

PNG (1413)

Ozen (1264)

Livingston (1207)

LCM (1200)

Lumberton (1064.5)

Lumberton (1064.5)

Thanks bigdog...

Can you look up 19-4A to see how the pairings would be shaping up.

Someone told me Dayton had the 2nd lowest enrollment so they would be automatically in the small school bracket.

Would be ironic if 20-4A finishes in the exact order of enrollment, unlikely since Lumberton will NOT finish last, but the top 4 might be right on.

1. North Forest - 2038

2. Kingwood Park - 1764

3. Galena Park - 1743

4. CE King - 1542

5. Goose Creek Memorial - 1537.48

6. Crosby - 1465

7. Dayton - 1353.5

8. Barbers Hill - 1055

I'm going to say these teams make the playoffs in no order:

North Forest

CE King

crosby

Dayton

So if the playoffs go as scheduled, It cold be :

Central/North Forest

King/Nederland  :  or vise versa

Crosby/PN-G

Dayton/Vidor :or vise versa

POSSIBLE 1ST ROUND GAMES....

Assumming

20-4A playoff teams are

1.  Central - big #1

2.  Nederland - big #2

3.  Vidor - small #1

4.  PN-G - small #2

And 19-4A are....

1.  Dayton - small #1

2.  North Forest - big #1

3.  CE King - big #2

4.  Crosby - small #2

That would pair....

Central vs CE King

Nederland vs North Forest

PN-G vs Dayton

Vidor vs Crosby

Will be exciting to see how the teams eventually finish out!

Man... maybe we should just not even play the rest of the season...Makes me want to see Livingston/LC-M suddenly find their groove and throw a wrench in this whole discussion...It's still early guys (very early). There are going to be a few upsets this year and I bet at least one of the 4 schools listed above (everybody's favorites) will finish sixth in district...Just my take...Let's see what happens in the next two weeks. Good Luck to everybody's team this week (except Central)...Sorry BmtSoulja1...If you're the last team standing from 20-4A come playoff time, I'll wear a Jaguar shirt in full support but, until then, I just can't do it. (HA).
