Mr. Buddy Garrity
WO-S and Memorial. I say Memorial cuz RT is working them both ways in practice so they will have depth.
Mr.Now it all
I would have to say that Newton has the best defense they have safety Darrell Jenkins returing to lead the defense and i should be hard to score on their secondary and their line is great but i just missing the force of James Brooks this year look for them to be one of the best in state
OrangeCountyBulldogFan
WOS does not have the wrecking crew of old. They do have an agressive D no doubt. Coach T will never let a squad get on the field that did not hustle. They do not have all the size of the late 80's and 90's where they got their name. Dominating D maybe not anymore IMO. And no one should ever put Ned in this post. We have a bend but don't break thing with Delbert Spell. He will never be the dominate D of some of the powerhouse programs like Brenham, Lamarque, Kilgore, etc. If Ned had "D" the offense has more than enough talent and points to win it all. Delbert is the problem IMO just as Barrow is the reason for the offensive success each year. the ringer...................WOS
KFDM COOP
I've went and looked at several teams this week and the size at WOS is back. Man you can tell this is Coach Thompson's 3rd year back. Looked more like a 4 or 5A team..

OK first of all it's the "Chain Gang" not the "Wrecking Crew", you just showed us how much you know about our team. I realize that's your opinion and I respect that. It's true, we have not been the same defensive power we were from the mid 80's through the 2000 season, a time which the only team in 4A that could even think of matching our defensive prowess was LaMarque. From 2001 to 2005 we were not the same team. We think it will be back though, there are still many athletes in WO-S and size was never a key ingredient to our success. This may be the year and it may not, but the "Chain Gang" will rise again. 8)
