Edgar13 Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 What School in Region III 4A can beat Longview?
dayton Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 What School in Region III 4A can beat Longview? One with a potent offense and a GREAT run defense. Let me know if you think of any.
jake94 Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 None that I have seen so far... Saw them play Lufkin when I was evacuated and I came away VERY impressed.
Edgar13 Posted October 17, 2008 Author Report Posted October 17, 2008 I think some teams have a great shot, but since I moved away from Jefferson County to Gregg county these people up here keep saying they (Longview) is unbeatable. I dont know, but I will see.
slick74 Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 What School in Region III 4A can beat Longview? What Division? 1 or 2
bh89-2 Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Barbers Hill was going to kick their tails, however they were saved by a hurricane..... ;D No school in Texas will beat them this year. Ask Lufkin.
lobo9599 Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Hey any school can beat us on any given day if we have a bad game. We are beatable, but we just have a lot of confidence in our guys that they will get the job done. We are going D I so if we make a deep run in the playoffs, we will face HP and Lake Travis. Hopefully we will get the job done.
badndn Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Not Region III but I would take Lake Travis over Longview. But not by much. Friendswood looked pretty stout up until last week! Great QB. And those Lumberton Raiders would demolish them, but they will be DII? :
B.M.F. Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Lake Travis is in trouble if they meet up with Longview! I know Gilbert is the man but its hard to throw on your back.
setxguru Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 I am not sure which schools will go big, and I know Longview will, but the Lobos will have to beat some tough opponents to get out of their region. Region II has Dallas Carter, Highland Park, Ennis, Corsicana, Waxahachie, Everman, Texas High, Sulpher Springs, Marshall, Kilgore, Waco High, SOC, and several other tough opponents. Im sure the Lobos will have to face some of these opponents before reaching the Semi's!
WTB Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 There was a qoute in the Longview paper saying "thank the lord we wont have to play Lumberton in the playoffs" lol But in reality I would say Lake Travis, Highland Park and a few other schools have a shot at beating them but I read up on them and they have some really talented juniors that are expected to be big D1 guys and plus they have been in 5A the past few years makes them a really tough out.
