If Nederland beats Vidor and loses to Lumberton, they would finish at 4-3.  If Vidor loses to Nederland and beats Livingston, they would finish at 5-2.  Lumberton is all but assured of finishing at worst 5-2.  Actually I think Nederland has to win the last two to get in.

You're getting way ahead of yourself here.  HJ hasn't even played the district preseason favorites yet you think this is for a district championship? ???

If HJ Wins on Friday then the worse they can do is a 3 Way Tie for First with Silsbee and WOS.  So yes the game on Friday in Sour Lake is for the District Crown!!!!!  HJ has played 3 teams that were favorites ahead of them when the season started and they are 3-0 against them.  It is about time that someone recognize that the Hawks have a pretty good little team.  Hey they may lose to WOS and Silsbee but they were picked to finish DFL in the district.  Great job Hawks......keep it going!!!!!

Penny, you are wrong on a couple of things here. First, if Vidor loses to Ned but beats Livingston, they would finish 4-3, not 5-2, they already have 2 district losses. Lumberton is not assured of finishing 5-2. They have two games remaining and have 1 loss already. There is a possibilty of them finishing 4-3, but it's pretty safe to say they will beat LCM this week and rule that out. Nederland doesn't have to win both games, they could beat Vidor and lose to Lumberton as long as Vidor loses to Livingston. That would leave Ned at 4-3, Vidor at 3-4. Now if Livingston were to lose to Central and Vidor, that would create a three way tie between Ned, Vidor, and Livingston with 4-3 records for the last 2 playoff spots. What fun!! ;D

Okay, didn't realize Vidor had two losses.  But, realistically Lumberton will finish no worse than 5-2.  So if Nederland wins this Friday, they are most likely in, thanks for clarifying.
