83_Alumni Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Rebel Stadium on the Battlefield. Last years game was a classic with WH winning 22-19. Rebels wil be looking to avenge that loss. Should be a good one.
Joharr73 Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 It will be in Evadale. Â Well, this is it for the Oilers! Â No more so called easy games for the next two weeks, Evadale was favored to win district by several people, this could determine the Champs for 23-1A. Â Go Oilers!!! Â West Hardin 35 --- Evadale 21
TheCardinalFan Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Can they contain Copeland? That will be the question. If West Hardin spreads out the field, the Rebels will have to be ready. Ball Control and turnovers will be the key to the game.
shermdog Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Sorry fellas I will have to be behind the goal post on this one. Winner gets a rib and sausage sandwich from willy wonka.
Rebel Fan Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 This should be a good one Evadale 28 WHÂ Â Â 21Â Â ???
Guest curtissimo Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Should be a great game, if Evadale contains Copeland and controls the ball they can win it, Evadale- 24 West Hardin- 21
83_Alumni Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Sounds like a great candidate for small school game of the week.
Guest ghostt Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 i would take the oilers in this one but in a VERY VERY close one but it can go either way
eaba26 Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 West Hardin will win this one. WH - 28 EVADALE - 20
H-D BOBCAT 55 Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Evadale has more athletes and they are better coached. Also Evadale is very disciplined and their playing at home. One player will not beat Evadale. This one will not be close. In warm ups West Hardin will know it's going to be a long night. Evadale players are big and loud. WH will be intimidated from the start. Evadale 30 West Hardin 6
Rebel Yeller Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Take into consideration that the two teams have four common opponents. Rebels       Opponent         Oilers Four scores     Warren          Lost to the Warriors     The Rebels scrimmaged them a week before the Oilers played them Handled Easily  Colmesneil         Handled Easily Destroyed     Burkeville         Destroyed Defeated      High Island         Defeated Looks pretty even Oilers ranked #5 Rebels ranked #6 on SETX Sports.com Looks Pretty even WH won 22 to 19 last year at home This year it is at Evadale Looks pretty even First real challenge (save HI) that the Oilers have had Rebels have played three tough games two since Ike with the win over HD being the biggest Advantage Rebels Oilers still have to play HD Rebels have Chester and SP left Advantage Rebels I think this is the Rebels year to take care of business Rebels 28 Oilers 14
H-D BOBCAT 55 Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Why is West Hardin ranked higher than Evadale ? Evadale beat Hull-Daisetta when HD was ranked real high. Has WH beat a team that was ranked real high ? I don't think they have. Evadale will show everyone friday WH does not deserve their ranking.
the wise one Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Evadale has more athletes and they are better coached. Also Evadale is very disciplined and their playing at home. One player will not beat Evadale. This one will not be close. In warm ups West Hardin will know it's going to be a long night. Evadale players are big and loud. WH will be intimidated from the start. Evadale 30 West Hardin 6 so i take it that HD was intimidated by evadale by the start of the game? this should be better than a lot of people think but my prediction is Evadale 35 WH 28
H-D BOBCAT 55 Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 You will be shocked when you see Evadale in warm ups. They demand your attention, also they look very sharp and crisp when warming up. Pound for pound one of the biggest 1A teams I have saw, they have lots of players, looked like a 2A team. Evadale may not have the football power house tradition like some schools, but this year they have a hell of a team.
TheCardinalFan Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Evadale is a solid team. They control the line a scrimmage on both sides of the ball. I have seen both Evadale and the Oilers play and althought the Cardinals played a better game against the Rebels than they did against the Oilers, I give the advantage to the Oilers. The Oilers will spread the field and try to loosen up the Rebel defense. If the Rebs can contain Copeland and shut him down then they will win. Either way, it will surely be a great 1A game. Go CARDINALS!!!
Guest beat-em_deep Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Sounds like a great candidate for small school game of the week. It is Small School GAME of the week. Its just on another thread.
cowboys_75 Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 Evadale can't stop copeland they will have to just try and outscore them but i think it will be close WH-42 Evadale-37
footballplayer Posted October 27, 2008 Report Posted October 27, 2008 I agree with TheCardinalFan if the Oilers can spread the field I like their chances. but it will come down to who wants it more and i think both teams wants this one ALOT!! The winner will be who ever gets the ball last This deserves to be game of the week
