raideroldtimer
Only problem with tonights game is that L-Town still could not establish any kind of passing game whatsoever, also had trouble with stopoing their passes.
82 5A State Champs
Let me be the first to congratulate the Lumberton Raiders as the 2008 District Champions for 20-4A! Great job, guys!

82 5A State Champs
Don't we have to win next week to be the district champs? Well, theoretically yes. But you guys are tied at 5-1 with Livingston, right? And you hold the tie breaker because you beat them in head to head competition, right? So, unless you guys lose next week, I'd say you got it!!! ;D

Lamar_Basketball
Winning tonight did nothing for Lumberton winning the district title. If they lose to Nederland next week and Livingston wins, Livingston is the outright district champion as they will have 1 loss and Lumberton will have 2. ..unless I missed something, KFDM has it wrong. KFDM COOP
Raiders grind past Bears, 34-6 Aaron Burke The Orange Leader LUMBERTON — The Lumberton Raiders used a bruising running game and a 20-point outburst in the second quarter to run past the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears 34-6 in District 20-4A play at Raider Stadium Friday night. Raider tailback Jacob Hanna paced the Lumberton ground game with 97 yards on eight carries and he scored three touchdowns. The Raiders (7-1, 5-1) clicnhed at least a share of the 20-4A title with the win. LC-M slips to 0-7 overall, 0-6 in 20-4A action. The Raiders piled up 352 total yards, 320 of it coming on the ground. LC-M sophomore quarterback Hunter Gonzales had his best night of the season, completing 16-of-33 passes for 213 yards. Bear receiver Daniel Harrison hauled in five receptions for 92 yards while fellow receiver Samuel Burton had seven grabs for 69 yards. The Raiders got on the board first when quarterback Ryan Hughes scored on a 5-yard gallop early in the first period. The Bears then put together a solid 17-play scoring march and tailback Tevvin Jones capped it with a 1-yard plunge to make it 7-6 still in the first period. The Raiders caught fire in the second period. Hughes, who had 72 yards on 13 carries, scored on a 1-yard keeper. Hanna then made the Bears pay with a 28-yard touchdown sprint and he capped the first half when he scored on a 2-yard dive. Hanna scored the second half’s only points when he took it into the end zone on a 3-yard dart. The Bears finished with a season-high 251 yards in the loss. Lumberton running back Ryan Asher added 97 yards on 17 totes. Four turnovers hurt the LC-M cause while the Raiders coughed up the ball twice. The Battlin’ Bears will close out their season next week at home for Homecoming against Beaumont Ozen. Guest Brubaker
Is this right, LCM threw for 230 yards on Lumberton? Could be a long night in the Lumberton secondary next week. Lumberton needs to win to avoid a first round date with Dayton.

Lumberton needs to win to avoid a first round date with Dayton. Credeur sat most of the starters and played the other kids in the second half, and sat all of the starters in the last quarter. Depth is not one of Lumberton's strengths. There aren't that many players on the team, honestly.
