OrangeCountyBulldogFan Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 With all the mighty programs in the 20-4a throw in Dayton...hmmmm. Nederland Central Dayton
OrangeCountyBulldogFan Posted February 3, 2006 Author Report Posted February 3, 2006 I think Ozen will be sitting out for a year or so. JMO...
KFDM COOP Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Can't wait. It'll be interesting! Newman wasn't happy this morning when he opened the evvelope i was told...
OrangeCountyBulldogFan Posted February 3, 2006 Author Report Posted February 3, 2006 Why would you think? Any insight or rumor? Did he want a smaller district? Dayton has not been much trouble for Ned in the last decade or so from my memory. I say keep Lumberton, LCM, Vidor for valley games and playing time for underclassmen. Surely Neumann did not think BMT Ozen, Central and PNG were going away. BH would have been a bit easier for now but who knows in a few years.
Guest GoStangs Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Not trying to stir the pot, but wasn't there some kind of fracas between NED and Dayton a few years back?
KFDM COOP Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Several Coaches told me that. Watch Channel 6 Sports tonight, he seemed unhappy to me.
OrangeCountyBulldogFan Posted February 3, 2006 Author Report Posted February 3, 2006 Several Coaches told me that. Watch Channel 6 Sports tonight' date=' he seemed unhappy to me.[/quote'] I watch channel 4 ...less alcohol on that channel....Just kidding !!!!!! Channel 6 fan here.
OrangeCountyBulldogFan Posted February 3, 2006 Author Report Posted February 3, 2006 Not trying to stir the pot' date=' but wasn't there some kind of fracas between NED and Dayton a few years back?[/quote'] Was that NEd or PNG and Dayton? I think it was at Cardinal Stadium if I remember correctly. Too long ago.
OrangeCountyBulldogFan Posted February 3, 2006 Author Report Posted February 3, 2006  :pp On you!! Just Kidding!! Where's uncle larry when you need him....LOL BTW....didn't it get you a better gig for a while?
OrangeCountyBulldogFan Posted February 3, 2006 Author Report Posted February 3, 2006 :ROFL This late breaking news just in.....Coop says no comment !!!!!!
SFA85 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Everybody wants Ozen to stay home but guess what, Clayton and Co will reload. That district still runs through Beaumont----especially if Dayton tries to play small ball on the Dline like this past year. Central's backfield is set with #5 at QB and #23(transfer from WO-S) Ozen will be the London Durahm show with a new RB stepping up from JV Both teams will have decent Olines and defenses that will hit you in the mouth. Dayton has Dugat but loses Gulley
WOS92 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Is the WO-S transfer new this year, or was he at Central last year? Who is he?
KFDM COOP Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Last Year i think, can't recall his name..Gas will remember..
WOS92 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 As long as it's not Garrett, I don't care
Guest GoStangs Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Beaumont will definitely send a team or two, and will most likely be home to the district champion, again. Dayton will put up a fight for the playoffs with the two Mid-County teams.
Guest Penny Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 If Neumann was upset, it wasn't for the fact that he didn't want Dayton in the district. I think he was hoping Barbers Hill would be in... he already had a non-district tilt set up with Dayton, so that puts him back to the drawing board for his third non-district game. Trust me, nobody in Nederland is all that down about having Dayton in... with the exception of the basketball programs. Dayton has a good program, but as OC fan said, they have not had much success in the playoffs against old 20-4A less the Dakari Pearson era. Nederland is struggling to find non-district games, that's why Neumann was probably a little down.
WOS92 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 I don't know, but we played both Nederland and Central last year, plus a game-situation, four-quarter scrimmage against Dayton. Of the three, Dayton was the most impressive.
