Is it really true that CO Wilson was up 42-0, with 1 minute left in the game ran a fake punt that scored another TD? I hope I've heard wrong.

Yea and more.....

leading 23-0.... CO onside kicks twice.

on the fake punt... second team had been in the game and the starters returned to run the fake....

continued to throw the ball deep to try to score more.....

rather tasteless on the part of the CO coaching staff.  >:( >:(

on the other end of the spectrum-port neches was beating groves 30-0 entering the 4th quarter.pn pulled there starters which allowed groves to score there first touchdown of the year.the fans and players got to end the year on a high note.even the pn fans were pulling for groves to score.co wilson coach runs an awesome program but he did that to fellow bulldogs.

I think the fake punt was 4th and 20.how can a staff not have his players ready to stop a 4th and 20 play?C.O. has done this for years you have to be ready for anything.plus these kids only got to play 5 games ,that really stinks.so i say let them play.IF I WAS A COACH AT CENTRAL I WOULD BE MORE MAD AT MYSELF FOR NOT HAVING MY TEAM BETTER PREPARED.

C.O. Wilsons 202-0 is impressive and I did see most of those kids in junior football.  It is certain, however that there wouldn't have been a "0" if they had played the Lumberton team.  Would have been a great game to see...... looking forward to seeing them match up as freshman.  Lumberton ended up 220 - 18    ... all 18 came when we pulled starters.

All zero against Nederland came with whoever they put on the field.

Brubaker, I know where you are coming from and I agree that CO smothered everyone they played. But I will say that would have been tough against this group of kids from Lumberton. I would predict a Bullpup victory but I do not forsee a shutout. It would have been nice to see the outcome of that game.

I guess we will have to wait till next year.  :-\

Very true comment about no scores on the subs either...CO played their subs plenty due to the nature of their games being blowouts and even the subs allowed no points, which is equally impressive...bottom line, both teams were clearly the class of the district and unfortunately did not get to play each other...they should get their opportunity to play each other next year at the freshman level and it should be fun to watch...CO will get some help next year from the Central MS kids and should only be better...I am sure Lumberton's kids will work hard in the offseason and will improve as well...the game will be at the end of the season, so hopefully things like grades and injuries won't keep either team from being at full strength.
