The last week of another hurricane affected football season. In 19-4A the four playoff team are: Dayton reigns supreme, Crosby and CE King will duke it out for 2nd place, and North Shore gets a tune up game. The playoff teams in 20-4A are Lumberton will be fighting to extend it's playoff life against Nederland while Livingston and Central face formidable opponents to get ready for their first round playoff games. To all the teams that are in their final week, a big thanks goes to the seniors who are playing in their final game. The many hours of practices you have sacrificed over the last half decade will have a positive influence on your future work ethics and attitudes in life. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THIS WEEK! AND....

Who will win in the final week of the regular season!

19-4A

KINGWOOD PARK VS DAYTON

Dayton is by far the most potent team east of the San Jancinto river. This game might be won by the Dayton JV team. Look for the first string to convert five first half possessions and the first possession in the third quarter into touchdowns. The 2nd and 3rd string add two more touchdowns while the defense posts a shutout. Dayton stampedes into the playoffs with a huge win.

GOOSE CREEK MEMORIAL AT NORTH FORESTDespite three losses in district, North Forest gave Dayton it's best district game. Look for North Forest to post a huge win going into the playoffs. The Bulldogs ground it out for over 400 yards rushing while the defense only allows two second half touchdowns. North Forest wins going away.

GALENA PARK VS BARBERS HILL

The consolation championship game go 19-4A. This game could go either way. If Barbers Hill can't get the offense going, look for Galena Park to keep this close. In the end, 2nd half mistakes do in the Eagles. The Eagles in the season having their wings trimmed and unable to fly. The Yellow Jackets triumph on the hill and take the 5th place ribbon.

GAME OF THE WEEK

CE KING VS CROSBY

This is the must see game in 19-4A this week. Can CE King unbury itself after getting stampeded by the Broncos last week. Crosby might be playing the best football of the season right now, but in the end, King will ressurect it's ground game and take it to the Cougars. Look for King to roll up the rushing yards and run away with the 2nd place trophy.

CENTRAL VS PN-G

What a dissapointing season for the PN-G Indians. Going into district they looked like a formidable team, but alas, this is a season that will be easy to forget. For Central, they get to finish out the regular season in a fantastic stadium. Look for the Indians to play to the bitter end, but the Jaguars will finish off the Indians horrible season with yet another loss. No ambush at the Reservation for the Jaguars.

OZEN VS LC-M

The Bears can't get back the BOJO. A huge applause needs to go the seniors on the LC-M football team. WAY TO NEVER GIVE UP! Keep on believing! Ozen will soon have it's mind on the upcoming exciting basketball season. Before it's starts dunking basketballs, they will finish of the Bears and end the football season with a big W.

VIDOR VS LIVINGSTON

The Livingston Lions could win the outright district championship with a win and a Raider loss. The Black Pearl was badly damaged by some ravage bulldogs last week. Look for the Black Pearl to barely make it to Livingston then get sunk to the bottom of Lake Livingston. The Lions roar will be too much for Jack Sparrow to take. The Lions end the season with a dominating win.

GAME OF THE WEEK

LUMBERTON VS NEDERLAND

The Bulldogs can set up a DREAM match up in bi-district with a win, Lumberton knows that a loss here means they only have one more week of football. Look for the Raiders to play like their lifes depended on a win. The Raiders will want this game more than the Bulldogs and in the end, will pull away. The L-Train keeps on chugging and survives a first round major derailment. Lumberton and Livingston finish the season as co-champs (unless there is a rule change ;-) )

I'm not going all the way to Nederland to watch Lumberton escape so I sure hope that prediction is part of your 26% failure rate.  Does anyone know who's in charge of the Bronco Booster Club??  Strangely, they don't seem like they have near the presence they had at the games in the '80's and '90's.
