baddog Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Why make it hypothetical? It happened this week so it was dealt with this week. Good going coach.
Raider88 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 I bet the real reason they got suspended is because they didn't have a ticket for Coach Neuman too!! ;D J/K
redfan Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 when a player deliberately breaks the rules knowing the consequences, they deserve the punishment. Its not like the coach fabricated false accusations and then punished them for it. sadly, that does happen!! believe me. I think the coach probably made the right decision here. good luck in the game!!
Guest KHS 89 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 ** Looks around ** What.... no comment from Penny on this thread????? Hmmmmmm..... Interesting.
Guest Penny Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 HMMMM.... it was/is unfortunate, but the situation was handled appropriately. I still think the Dogs have the goods to get the job done Friday, and in the grand scheme of things, maybe a lesson was learned.
Guest Penny Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 KHS, I still get a kick out of that 3TD victory you predicted, you had part of it right you know, don't feel so bad.
Guest KHS 89 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 KHS, I still get a kick out of that 3TD victory you predicted, you had part of it right you know, don't feel so bad. Yeah, I know. Boy was I wrong!! But to my credit, I did come right back and eat my crow, congratulate the Bulldogs and admit that I'd be pulling for you guys in the playoffs. We got to have one Mid-County team to hopefully make it deep in the playoffs this year. Hats off to Nuemann, not a popular decision he had to make but certainly just emphasizes his professionalism, character and his commitment to NHS football and all his players.
DP#1FAN Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Coach Nueman ia all about team. Nederland is lucky to have such a fine coach.
Guest Nederland Bulldogs Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 He is a great Coach, wouldn't want anyone else.
rollinac Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 He is a great Coach, wouldn't want anyone else. From what I hear he could use an upgrade at d-coordinator.
dayton Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 He is a great Coach, wouldn't want anyone else. From what I hear he could use an upgrade at d-coordinator. Delbert Spell has a rep. as a defensive guru. Not sure what is going on with that.
outanup Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 The problem with our D isnt the coordinator, or the scheme. We just dont have the hosses up front. Dont believe everything you hear.
Guest Brubaker Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 We do have em coming though up, folks in Nederland gotta big smile on their face with some of the classes coming up. Could see some of the defenses of old as soon as next year.
football fan34 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 what did bellows do? and im glad to see no one bash him like they did that hanna kid when he got ejected guess setx fans have grown up a little in the past few weeks
7mary3 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 What sucks is Houston lost. Live and learn.
football fan34 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 these suspensions shouldnt change anyones predictions nederland has depth and will give some other players to step up and help their team
Guest LR1969 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Any time a coach puts priorities/responsibility/commitment, etc. ahead of winning a football game, he/she earns my respect. Most of these kids will never go on to a college/pro career. The lessons they learn on the football field are the ones that will carry them through working 7-12's in the local refineries and knowing that your "buddy" is counting on you every morning when the whistle blows.
cougar2020 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Speaking of college....What message does this send to Lamar when one of their first signees misses practice for an NBA game....(not to mention when your team is closing in on the playoffs!?)
