Dad
Tomorrow (Friday Nov. 7) night, according to my daughter, the Lady Cards game against Texas State, will determine if they repeat as Southland Conference Champions. It would be great if we could get a big crowd out there to cheer them on. They lost to UTSA this past Saturday ending a 7 match winning streak. TexasTerror
Huge win, Cards... I do not forsee either of you losing any more SLC matches between now and the conference tournament. Co-conference champs it seems. You each won 3-1 when you played each other at home. What's the next tiebreaker? Points in said matches? Being in first means avoiding SFA, who will be a tough out for either team (especially at home) in the semifinals.

I know you are the expert and always knows it all. How abouty admitting you were wrong again. Make ole UNLV smile...
TexasTerror
Terror you said UTSA, Texas st, and SFA was the top 3. I know you are the expert and always knows it all. How abouty admitting you were wrong again. Make ole UNLV smile... Through last weekend...the standings were TXST (11-1), Lamar (9-2), SFA (8-3) and UTSA (8-3). Apparently, I was pretty dead on with my top three being amongst the top four). UTSA had a REALLY bad loss yesterday against Nicholls, so yes -- right now, the top three are now TXST, SFA and Lamar. Figure my prediction was a bit more accurate than anything anyone came out with on this board. Then again, none of you are willing to talk much volleyball outside of discussing Ws and Ls...when we going to talk serve and pass? About liberos and hitting percentages...? Dad
With the Lady Cards wins this past weekend over Texas State and UTA, I think their chances for a conference championship look pretty good. Their wins over Texas State were not that close, in spite of the officiating seemingly being intimidated by the same couple of really loud, obnoxious fans that Texas State had at the conference tourney in San Antonio last year. "The Mac" was packed Friday night. I talked to the guy from Cotton Cargo during one of the game breaks about selling ear plugs. It was LOUD in there!!! TexasTerror
The thread title is misleading. Yes, LU beat TXST -- but the teams are tied at 11-2. LU did not take care of things the first time they met. They'll end the season tied more than likely and that's a co-championship. What really matters is the SLC tournament.
