KFDM COOP Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Post location, Time, and date along with the teams that are playing.
Bobcatfan4life Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 We are heading into the 3rd round Coop. OF vs HF, haven't heard anything yet on date or location. I would think it would be in Beaumont, possibly Ozen or something
mactiger Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Silsbee fought hard but lost to Caldwell 3-2. Great game Lady Tigers! Your coaches, parents and fans are very proud of you!
Gabe Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 Silsbee fought hard but lost to Caldwell 3-2. Great game Lady Tigers! Your coaches, parents and fans are very proud of you! mactiger, you know I'm a fan of the Lady Tigers over here in Orange County (just not when playing one of my teams.) Great year, just wished a lil longer run. Your daughter was a senior right? Good luck to her in the future!
mactiger Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 Thanks Gabe! We are fans of yours as well! Yes, my daughter was a senior. Lots of tears shed last night.
morgandanae2 Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 OF VS. HF Tuesday at Nederland 7:30
Bobcatfan4life Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 Is Tarkington still in it? They lost to 24-3A 3rd place Madisonville in 5
ksagrl1 Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 OF VS. HF Tuesday at Nederland 7:30 Why did OF get a bye in the area round? Don't know if I've heard of that before. I know district champs get a bye....but didn't know third place teams did.
Aggie14 Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 With the UIL realignment, there is not a district 23. UIL did not adjust the bracket to the new realignment. That is where the bye came in.
Bobcatfan4life Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Orangefield vs Hamshire-Fannett at Nederland Tue. 7:30pm Hardin vs Anderson Shiro at Spring Tue. 7pm Kountze vs Centerville at Willis Tue. 7pm

That is where the bye came in. That doesn't seem entirely fair to all the other teams that had to WIN to get there, but hey, the UIL doesn't always make the most sense. It does seem like a catch 22. On one hand, you win bidistrict and are automatically in the regional quarters, but at the same time, you have a week in between games and the team you are playing has some momentum. Good luck to all involved.
