MWhizzie Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 who else thinks this spurs team is terrible ???
Chazz Reinhold Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 really...are you really saying this... think about the situation: 1.) their leading scorer from last year (ginobili) is out til december with the ankle injury he suffered in the olympics 2.) tim duncan/kirk thomas backup fabricio oberto is not quite 100% after missing the first 2 games with an irregular heartbeat 3.) duncan and parker are averaging a combined 60.3 ppg (the rest of the team combined is 41.5 ppg) 4.) roger mason is doing the bulk of the bench scoring with 15.8 ppg....ginobili is usually the one that comes off and eats up minutes youve probably never even heard of roger mason 5.) dude theyve only played 4 games san antonio knew that the first month would be tough without ginobili and if they could stay close to/above .500 they would be in pretty good shape for ginobilis return in early december. they should be in great shape to make another run in the 2nd half of the season and eventually make the playoffs....doesnt really matter what seed they are. this team has been to the post season and knows what it takes to win...even if they end up with the 8
bullets13 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 i strongly dislike the spurs. they make me want to punch babies. i wish them a terrible season.
Chazz Reinhold Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 i strongly dislike the spurs. they make me want to punch babies. i wish them a terrible season. hahaha i on the other hand love them....but you may get what you wish for...if the injury bug keeps biting there gonna be left with playing with the entire roster of the austin toros (their nbdl affiliate ahahah)
bullets13 Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 yeah, parker's injury is a huge blow for them.
Chazz Reinhold Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 uh-oh....spurs pulled off 3 in a row by a combined 7 points haha...they are stayin with the pack with their 2/3 of their big 3 still hurt. watch out down the road it is an "odd" year haha (playoffs are in '09...'99, '03, '05, '07 champs)

Rebel Yeller Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 As a huge SPURS fan all I can say to the haters is you better put some distance between your team and the men is silver and black before everyone gets healthy. If success is something that is hard to argue with then the SPURS rule the conversation. Five titles in 10 years, sounds like a dynasty to me.
Chazz Reinhold Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 ginobili made his season debut tonight....its half and he has 5 points in about 7 minutes 8)
Gabe Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 we lost our hating on the spurs talk. soooo, the Spurs suck!
Chazz Reinhold Posted December 5, 2008 Report Posted December 5, 2008 they will catch fire...you will see lol. especially since they are finally playing games with duncan parker and ginobili all healthy. time to make a push. top 4 and home court in first round isnt outta reach just yet.....but #1 pretty much is....LA is rediculous and all i can hope is kobe gets struck by injury bug...is that messed up? lol
Gabe Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 No, I hope that of Duncan, Manu, Parker and especially Bowen. You're good.
Chazz Reinhold Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 ouch man lol...i can take bowen getting hurt...hes classless. but spare me atleast 2 of the 3 lol.
Gabe Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Then I'll take Duncan being hurt. I can't stand his crying face.
Rebel Yeller Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 The Spurs are fine! Injuries are just part of the game. Manu will only get better as the season goes on. The Spurs won't be the top seed in the west, but I believe that they will be no worse than forth with a home court for round one. If there is one thing the Spurs know how to do...that's win!
