Guest Kelly Football Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 I was reading from some of the Nederland posters that they may be concerned about the Dogs' Recievers. How will Nederland's offense be overall?
tvc184 Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 I was reading from some of the Nederland posters that they may be concerned about the Dogs' Recievers. How will Nederland's offense be overall? The Bulldogs have had a pretty good passing game the last few years and naturally that makes the running game open up. I think it is too early to tell if this year will continue their success in the air. The passing game seemed out of sync against Silsbee and it may have had to do with Moshier and other players being out of town for the baseball playoffs and I am sure being the first scrimmage didn't help. Obviously there can be timing problems if you don't get to practice and even more so with a new set of receivers. Next week's scrimmage with Jasper might be a better indication of how the passing game (and thereby the rest of the offense) will go this year. Mosely can be great and most of the offensive line is returning but I don't think Nederland can survive with a one dimensional offense.
Guest Kelly Football Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 Thanks. I would think any problems they had would be worked out with that great staff.
NeDeRlAnD b-DoG fAn Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 ya i think nederland's passing game will get back into rythm next week.
Gtj007 Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 I remember last year when Nederland was looking to find a QB. During the Silsbee scrimmage none of the three potential QBs looked good. But somehow, when it was all said and done, Nederland once again had the 1st team All-District QB.
NeDeRlAnD b-DoG fAn Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 Sophmore QB #8 for Nederland think his name was Jordan Landry. Looks like he is gonna be heck of a QB when its his turn to be a starter on varsity. He had a good arm with accuracy
James Mosley Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 With the offensive line we have, NO we will not struggle!
Tiger90 Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 1st scrimmage jitters The reality is Nederland and Silsbee should both be good this year. I don't think anyone should have predicted a route in this scrimmage.
mustang Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 Nederland will be fine as they are every year.
