TheBoysMom Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 SFA85.. do you ever have any posts that don't try to start crap? I live in PN and proudly voted for Obama. Real America is crap made up by McCain Palin, not onĀ race, but the idea that somehow if you are a democrat you are not patriotic. You must be a really miserable person. I will be pulling for Central in the playoffs. You can read my post about the fight on the Central/PNG thread. I am a union member and am proud to support Obama as many other Mid County voters did. Maybe you need to listen to what he has to say about bitterness and the need to put that behind us and come together to move this country forward. I look at the measure of a man by his character, not the color of his skin. Can you say the same? You go Ndns, I voted for Obama too. Just so happens I consider myself a CONSERVATIVE Democrat. I'm proud we were able to get past our own prejudices and elect someone other than a white good old boy. All people deserve respect directly in relation to the respect they are willing to give you. Black people make up less than 15% of the population of the United States. Obama would never have been elected if millions of white people had not voted for him. The "Real America" thread contains some of the most racist drivel on this board, in my opinion.
Bucof2010 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Man ever since Nov. 4 we haven't been able to have a thread without it turning into a race war or Obama thread.
Lt. Dan Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 SFA85: I followed this post up until the "Real America" comment. What are you referencing?
SFA85 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 SFA85.. do you ever have any posts that don't try to start crap? I live in PN and proudly voted for Obama. Maybe you need to listen to what he has to say about bitterness and the need to put that behind us and come together to move this country forward. I look at the measure of a man by his character, not the color of his skin. Can you say the same? I did notice how Jefferson Co. voted. Ā But I also work with a whole bunch of what I like to call 'Socialist Republicans' who benefit from some New Dear era programs and policies but get caugt up in cultural issues. Ā My 'In Real America' essay/rant what ever you want to call it is just merely making an observation using Satire. Ā Instead of using terms such as 'thug', I tried to be clever and witty. Ā It's Sunday morning, and they're still being questions asked about the fight..... I also voted for Obama as did my whole family.Ā But I couldn't fully celebrate because again, being in a den of Socialist Republicans, I had to be measured in my celebration.Ā It wasn't until I came from Mass Wednesday morning, after hearing Roland Martin's personal reflections on what happened, that I began to tear up.Ā To answer the person who wanted to know what I mean by 'Real America', I borrowed that from Sarah "Caribou Barbie" Palin and if you remember the makeup of her audience, you can figure out who I'm referring to. P. S., I'm not miserable by no means.Ā Everybody just calm down.Ā I'm just having fun on here without using terms that would get me banned.Ā Some people actually liked my little essay.Ā But I do wish the speculation would end and let the UIL do their job if they decide to do anything.Ā We had a fight against Kirbyville at home in '82.Ā The game ended in a tie and we still qualified for the playoffs(the first year the UIL let 2 teams in) so with all this whailing and nashing of teeth, the UIL may not act
NewIndian Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 The fight was started by 2 vicious hits way out of the play by Central and the fight started on the field and got bigger fast until both benches emptied, i didnt see any coaches get hit but you cant see everything, there was cops coming from everywhere even off duty in the stands DPS etc...once they got it under control the officials ended the game, then they loaded up Centrals team on the buses still in their gear and the police escorted them out of town quickly. It was not pretty BTW if you gonna fight dont take off your helmets ill sit there all day and let someone hit me with a helmet and pads on, but i saw several players take off their helmets some using them as weapons
Lt. Dan Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 meaning....once I read more of the post and determined what the "Real America" comment was in reference to (on a football board), I cried "Uncle"......I am just wore out with all of the political talk/stuff.

I would prefer to hear of "clean, hard hits".Ā Vicious just has undertones of uuuhhh, well you know...DIRTY, Malicious, intending to cause bodily injury.Ā kinna unsportsman like...don't you think??

That have nothing to do with the play that is 10 or 15 yards ahead of them,Ā no thats not supposed to happen and believe me ive done plenty of them 10-11 years ago, vicious hits that is

Bucof2010 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 I heard that the fight broke out in the PNG stands and spilled onto the field. ;D I was told a frustrated waterboy threw a handfull of ice at an unruly fan and this sparked it.
baseball4life09 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 if anything it'll be like what happened with dayton and crosby a few years ago it was first round of playoffs and they had a bench clearing brawl. senior anthony williams(dayton) was pushed by a crosby player then it all broke out williams defened himself and everyone went crazy. everyone who started the fight recieved an immediate 1 game suspension. thats probably all that will happen as of this year.

baddog Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 "IF'' the UIL keeps Central from going to the playoffs, the only fair thing to do is keep PNG from the playoffs next year.
