smp83 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Kyler Keith is a junior, 1st year on varsity. He was also inducted into the National Honor Society today.
Xception704 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Hah I had the pleasure of helping with the induction today as an old member (senior member). Several football players were inducted ... though I don't remember all of them. Matt Burkhalter, Mark Murrill, and Kyler Keith are the ones that I remember.
Guest BIG HOUSE Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Yes.....I agree gotta be K.Keith # 10 from Lumberton..
Guest BIG HOUSE Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Ofcourse K. Keith should make 1st. Team All-Dist. Then this award will go to someone else.....Asher from L-Town...

I think Scott Purks might have been one also?? I think those were the football players I heard about.
Xception704 Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Oh yeah! I knew Scott was there, but for some reason I thought he was an old member ... guess it's all the classes I have with him that make him seem more familiar than the rest. My bad. :-[
Guest #1raider Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 does anyone know when the awards for all district and this newcomer award are chosen
Justme Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Hands down the running back from Ozen James White. Rushing for nearly if not over 1000 yards in his first season for ozen varsity. Only back in that system and never missed a game or got hurt.

EagleAG03 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 livingston lions ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Nice!
bojofootball Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 definately hunter gonzales from LCM. #20 Starting QB, safety, punter. never misses a snap.
Slam14 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 It's hard to make a great impression when your team is 0-10, but Hunter Gonzales certainly needs to be considered for the award. A great athlete. If Newcomer of the Year is not in the cards for H. Gonzales then I vote him in as "Most Courageous Player in 20-4A". ;D The kid did everything, took a beating, and never missed a snap. Hunter is certainly the brightest spot in a tough season at Bear Country.
Bucof2010 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 does anyone know when the awards for all district and this newcomer award are chosen I think once their all out of the playoffs.
9Doggies Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 does anyone know when the awards for all district and this newcomer award are chosen Allready been picked, Lumberton won them all, first and second team. M.V.P., Newcomer, Offensive, Defense, Coach. All kidding aside Lumberton's Coach should win Coach of the year and should have won it last year. Building a great program there.
