Heard today that the Rockies and A's are close to a deal. Matt Holliday would be headed to Oakland while the A's would send Huston Street back to the Rockies in return.

The Rockies would also get outfielder Carlos Gonzalez who is supposed to be pretty dang good.

If I'm the Rockies I hold on to him, but I saw they think they will be losing their closer so they think they need to make the deal to fill that spot. Holliday's agent is Scott Boras so it doesn't suprise me. The small market teams just can't hang on to guys like him
