Attention loyal SETXsports members

[SETXsports Broadcaster]

Many of you may not know and a lot of you do know, that recently A radio station undercut us as a broadcasting web sight and negotiated a deal with Kirbyville Schoolboard members in order us to lose our webcasting privileges for Kirbyville post season games.  The Radio station KJAS went and started collecting sponsors (our sponsors) without our permission.  Now this may not mean a lot to most but , we have had the privilege to listen to most or our areas football games because SETXsports broadcasts them.  Sometime the broadcasts are great, sometimes they are funny, sometimes we get confused and make mistakes.  But we go out every Friday and Saturday to bring games into not only local homes but to overseas areas were our soldiers are at and working.  Now we are in a situation were a radio station KJAS of Jasper has kept us from doing anything.  Now its Kirbyville, next it could be Newton or anyother game we listen to.

I implore you even if your not from kirbyville or a SETXsports announcer to write to this station and tell them how you feel.  They will be only Radio broadcasting the game and will not be we webcasting.  so if you live past lumberton or if you live 40 miles north of Jasper you can forget about getting the game

Not only should you voice your displeasure to KJAS, but the Kirbyville school board should get some the wrath too.

The school board should get the blunt of the wrath!!!  They did this family favor without hearing everything that needs to be heard!

I just happen to know all the board memebers personally.  I have already spoken to one of them and he told me he knew that the topic of KJAS broadcasting some playoffs games came up but he had no ideal that they was undercutting another broadcasting company to do so.  Like he said earlier we might can do something about it this year but well be able to let them know exactly how many setxsports people are out there that appreciate what setxsports does and they deserved better than that.  Remeber all of these people are voted in by the public and if enough people complain you will began to get their attention. 

I also know for a fact that KJAS has the intention of broadcasting Newton games if they advance in the playoffs farther than Jasper or Kirbyville just as they have done in the past.  In the past Kjas has reported the jaspers games until there season is over and then they broadcast the Kirbyville games unless Newton advances farther and then they will broadcast them.

Ok really this does not know who he is messing with here. I just went to the KJAS website and within the last hour or so has in big bold letters scrolling on the top that Kirbyville will be broadcasted on 107.3 fm and 96.3 fm. Do they have both frequencies? I thought they were just on 107.3??

I just talked to the Kirbyville superintendent's Secretary and she was very nice, she took my comments about the situation and took my name and number.  she is keeping count on how many have called so please call, be courteous she is very a very nice lady.

Again...I have to ask the question. Does this mean that SETXSPORTS.COM can't broadcast the game anyway. In other words, is this simply a case of not having the funding to cover the game because of a loss of sponsors or does KJAS have some exclusive agreement to be the only one to cover the game? Just not sure how this works. I know as a former newspaper reporter, it wasn't as if a school had the right to only allow certain newspapers to cover their team. Not sure how it works with radio. The reason for my question is that I believe SETXSPORTS.COM could quickly raise the money to offset a few Jenny's Fried Chicken ads etc, if money is the only issue. I'll start the donations right now. IF IT CAN BE DONE, I WILL DONATE $100 TO THE CAUSE TO START THE FUNDRAISING!
