Among the things the Cardinals did in running their homecourt winning streak to 14 games was place six players in double-figure scoring, shoot 49.4 percent from the field and 82.1 percent from the free throw line, out-rebound the Wildcats 42-29, force 29 turnovers and pass for assists on 24 of their 38 field goals.

Brandon McThay matched his career high with 17 points, and he added a team-high six assists. Also, Jay Brown established a new career high with 16 points and eight rebounds.

The Cardinals' other double-figure scorers were Kenny Dawkins with 15 points, Anthony Miles with 14, Tristan Worrell with 11 and Ashton Hall with 10.

"Skyler Williams brought a lot of energy off the bench," said Roccaforte. "He had seven steals and four assists. I was definitely encouraged by that. He's what I call one of our X-factors, and Jay Brown is another X-factor. They both stepped up and performed tonight."

Attendance: 2,894

Good game tonight. Cards look faster than I've seen in 20 years of being in Beaumont. Granted, the Louisiana guards looked more like a high school guards, but overall the Cards took care of their business.
