Guest tigersvoice
http://blogs.usatoday.com/gameon/2008/11/obama-to-push-e.html As much as I would like to see a college playoff system to determine the Nation's college championship, really, doesn't he have enough facing him on his priority list before he "Changes" college football? YankeeDawg
I sure hope THIS matter takes priority over the U.S. economy issues, the war on terrorism and health insurance plans. :
Guest mffl
I don't think the president should get involved. It's for the people playing the sport, coaching the sport, and just working around CFB to decide, period. Not the prez.
TexasTerror
You guys are taking things out of context... Obama was asked if he could change something in sports, what would it be...? Or something along those lines. The answer was making a eight-team college football playoff. Isn't that the same thing he said when interviewed by Chris Berman by ESPN a few weeks ago? You Grand Ole Party-Poopers need to calm down!

becktobigs
He's wrong anyway--it should be 16 teams with every conference champ guaranteed a spot.
NorthoftheBorder
He's wrong anyway--it should be 16 teams with every conference champ guaranteed a spot. Thanks for pointing that out. However, unlike Bob West, we should keep political conversations out of the sports talk.
UNLV
16 teams is just 4 extra games. Highschool play more games for a state championship...
Bucof2010
Lets go March madness style and have 932 teams in it.
