BMT HS FOOTBALL FAN Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 I was just wondering if anyone has any info on this team? I know they are in 17 4a with a lot of Austin teams.
BMTSoulja1 Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 All I know from them is that they are a tri-district champion in 17-4a with a 7-3 regular season record and their color is Maroon and White. Don't know much else, yet.
BMT HS FOOTBALL FAN Posted November 16, 2008 Author Report Posted November 16, 2008 The Austin American - Stateman has there team and individual stats. I can't get a link. Site want me to register. I'll see if I can get a copy.

SFA85 Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 Luckily, playing Livingston gives you some insight on Lockhart's version of the Wing T. It's amazing to me how many schools are going back to the run and getting away from that sissy spread O. Last night, the game was delayed 5 minutes or so because NF's band was late and the announcer sang the National Anthem himself to start the game but take out the stoppage for the numerous penalties and that game would've lasted 2 hours lol. Anyway, Lockhart's loss to Gregory-Portland out of Reg 4 may be the only team on their schedule that may have the speed and size of Central. Stowars will have to make his front 7 stay at home for all the fakes and misdirection and if so, I see those Jags playing in round 3...
Titletown2 Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 They are another wing-t team. Smashmouth is what they do.

BMTSoulja1 Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 I have more information on Lockhart. There were not a tri-district championship. Buda Hays won it. Lockhart and Elgin tied for second. They lost to Buda Hays and Del Valle (who is the scrub playoff representer). Buda Hays Cons. 7-3 5-0 Elgin 7-3 3-2 Lockhart 7-3 3-2 Del Valle 3-7 2-3

Plumnelly Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 We scrimmaged Lockhart and they are big up front with a power running game. It is really the Slot T more than the Wing T. They hunker down on the offensive line(4 point stance) and they come off the ball. I don't know how big Central is this year, but they will have to be physical up front. As far as their defense goes, they are average, but they rest alot while the offense grinds it out. They have run their system for about four years now and it shows. Like all slot/wing t teams, they fake really really well. Also, though like alot of slot/wing t teams, if you follow the guards, you will find the ball. I don't think they will hold up to Central's speed and big play capability. I look for Central to break it open late and win going away. Central 35-20.
BMT HS FOOTBALL FAN Posted November 18, 2008 Author Report Posted November 18, 2008 Thanks for the info!!!
