Ty Cobb Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Who has the nicest park in the area? I'm curious because someone from Buna thinks their park is the nicest in the state. I haven't seen all the fields in the area, but from the one's that I have seen I will vote for Barbers Hill.
jdawg03 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Jasper..... how many fields have real brick fences all the way down both foul lines, turf baselines, indoor batting cages, and a nice clubhouse
BLUE Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 I agree. Jasper has very nice facilities. But my favorite ballpark has to be Woodville. Just something about the atmosphere. I love it.

Or at least, the vistors dugouts. Give Jasper's place the dugouts from Barbers Hill. Which is what Silsbee is doing. Green wall, various dimensions, big dugouts. Plans are to brick behind the plate from dugout to dugout. It will look great.
jdawg03 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Im confident that Coach Mixon will eventually have the dugouts fixed up a little better.....Jasper has always set the standard for nice ballparks in the area since the mid 90s and is continually adding new features to it....very supportive booster club helps alot too
piratefan Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Vidor's field got a big facelift this year. New dugouts, fence, scoreboard.and the field is in real good shape now. They hired a guy who all he does is work on the fields all year round.
rhino1877 Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 LCM has a very nice field and got some awesome light poles to go with it.
Guest Orangeboy Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Bridge City used to have the best ball park until Coach Young left back in the late 90's. I enjoyed playing in Jasper to go along with the atmosphere. We also played a few games in Sulpher and they had some real nice turf with a warning track all the way around the field. I love WOS covered stands.
Hoops11 Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 I also think that Buna has one of the best fields in the area. Its very open and we just repainted all the dugouts and the center field wall.
