Wow!  This was a very very great game!  Kountze can flat out shoot the ball, they had 8 3's! 

We missed some easy shots, that was the differene because Kountze doesn't miss often at all.

Congrats ladies BOTH teams will do very well the rest of the season.

I agree Bobcat, This was actually a good loss. Kountze has beat some very good teams and it sounds like the game could have gone either way. PLus it is always tough at Kountze. ;D Just kidding kountze fan's. I had to throw that in there because last year the Kountze fans said, " wait till ya'll come to our place". Now we are even. 8)

Hard fought game. Good for both teams to play in game situations like that this time of year....I still think Ktz could have performed better. A lot of lost oppertunites due to turnovers but over all it was a great game to watch.

Good luck on the season Lady Cats,  Go show 3A what southeast Tx is all about.

Now lets go head on in to district Kountze I have high expectations for yall this year!!! ;)

no. 8 2A beating the no 5. 3A ???

The current TABC polls are about as close to being accurate as I am to being the pope  ::) ::) ::)These are 2 of the better teams in SETX this year but I gotta wonder if the folks doing the rankings have even watched a game  ??? ??? ???

      It’s been awhile, but I seem to remember 5 D starters out & 2 O starters out (OL). A big difference is that Simon wasn’t involved yet. He’s totally changed LP’s rushing attack from last year as a bruising, explosive addition to Barnes, Sandolph & Bright. Last year—and early this season—LP was missing that element. Now, Coach Berneathy is not making talented players wait like many other coaches & even his predecessors at LP. If the kid can produce at the varsity level, they’re moved up. And man, has Simon produced! Over 1200 yards & 20 TD’s in less than a full season so far! It’s allowed LP to alternate RB’s where Barnes doesn’t take all the pounding. Barnes and Sandolph are also able to split out as receivers as desired to add threats that weren’t really an option last year. The PNG/LP game was a full-on tilt & good for both squads. I remember Gary Joseph in the end zone giving his son pointers as an extra set of eyes since he’d had experience with LP in past PO matchups. That was a good game. The score wasn’t really indicative of the game. Not sure anyone felt it was over until the final whistle! Good luck to y’all in Cajun Country. Bring back a win for SE Texas. (Yes. La Porte is still SETX. Ha!)
