Kirbyville has a lot of players that are willing to put fourth the effort to be able to compete with other clubs... however there is also many players that just want to go out and have fun... and well... they dont really care about getting better.  I think that if Kirbyville wants to be able to compete and possibly WIN some game we would first need to find the players who have the heart willing to play, and play hard.

With that said... most of the girls who have played soccer in Kirbyville in the past just do it for fun... it gives them something to do while in the off-season or something they can do while still in band.  Nothing against the girls, but if you are going to make it a co-ed team then I think that it should only be for the girls who put as much effort in as everyone else.  No offense ladies  :o.

I can't wait to see how everything unfolds :)

I understand completly!!!  If I am to am get involved as a sponser.. if it is school affiliated..we have inclusion, but if PAtrick is involved, and can be done outside of school, and the field is there, well then the club could be more...shall we say selective.  But we would want a solid 15 players, for an 11-man squad...if poss...  if we play 8 on 8, then we would want 12 players (strong).

Have you talked to Patrick lately to see what he is thinking about doing?  Would we have a field to play on or would we still need to use the piney grove field?  I know that a lot of players that play on the Jasper High School team go to Lufkin every Sunday to play in a tournament/league, but there is about a price of about 300 dollars for the team (20 dollars a player if we have 15).

If this whole club soccer thing is going to happen we need to jump on it and get practicing :)

I for one would give what ever i need to go play into the tournament in Lufkin.  And as for the field goes if Piney Groves don't let us use their field we could ask the school board if we could practice on the band practice field or on the football practice field even.

And I will come to practice when ever and if I had someone to practice with right now i would be practicing more.

The sooner all this comes together the better... I am not sure if the school board will let us use any of the fields, but since it would be a school club I guess it would be a possibility.  I know for a fact that most of us that played during the fall league are now surely out of shape, and the more we practice now the better we will be prepared.  Someone needs to get a hold of Patrick and get a point of view on what he is thinking.  Patrick may have information on the piney wood/grove field and if it is possible that we can use it.  I am ready to start practicing ...  :)
