Jasmin Henderson Inks with Lady Cardinals Basketball

Coach Tidwell sure knows how to recruit:

Henderson has helped lead the Dulles Vikings to a No. 1 ranking this year in Class 5A Texas High School girl's basketball and a No. 5 national ranking by USA Today. She's averaged 12.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and has shot an amazing 59 percent from the field through her first three years of high school.

She is a three-time first team all district selection and has been named first team all region the past two years. The prestigious Collegiate Girls Basketball Report has her ranked as the No. 137 player in the country while having a position ranking of 27th best shooting guard on the charts.

"Signing Jasmin has definitely gotten some attention across the country," said Tidwell. "She can hit it consistently from behind the arc, get it to the rim, and brings a physical style of play that will fit our conference. Jasmin is a team first player and those are hard to find.

Scouting service I get ranks her No. 398 with that Miletic JUCO signee at No. 58 amongst JUCOs. LU is ranked #2 in the SLC by the scouting service. Not slamming you guys because at 398, atleast by this service, still better than much of anything the SLC gets. Recruiting rankings, who needs them?

Congrats to Jasmin. She can really fill it up. Hadn't got a chance to see her play in a couple of years, but i keep up with her stats. All around great player. good pick up lady cards, I will definitely attend more games in the upcoming years.

I agree.  I was looking at the various rankings of the men's basketball recruits and they vary widely from one service to the next.  But they do give you a general idea on the overall quality compared to other schools and conferences.
