bullets13 Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 7-1 this year. The Big 12 looks pretty solid this year in general, with undefeated OU, seven 1-loss teams and four 3-loss teams.
sahen Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 Kansas losing to UMass hurts today hurts the conference unfortunately... the Bears are good though, today Kendall Wright (receiver for football and guard for basketball) played in his first game during cleanup time...that guy is jsut crazy athletic...
ForeverADog Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 Yea they should be in the tournament again this year. And how about Dayton ex Henry Dugat? starting for a fourth year in a row. Scott Drew, great coach, has this team moving in the right direction.
Rebel Yeller Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 There is no one in the country that can say that hiring Scott Drew at Baylor was a great move. Youo have to hand it to a coach who would step into the mess that was left at BU from the last coach. As a Baylor Alum I am always excited when the Bears do well, but in the case of the basketball team the truth be told we are just glad that there is still a program. The Ferrell Center is a far cry from the years at the HOT on the fair grounds back when Vinny Johnson and Terry Teagle were in the green and gold, but the program is now on solid footing and getting better and better. I would love to get to Waco one night for a double header when both the Lady Bears and the Bears were playing. In a conference where basketball has at least gotten on the radar in the football dominated Big 12 it is great to see your school not just compete, but to succeed at a very high level. Sic Em Bears
BLUEDOVE3 Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 I was worried when I first read this thread. I thought LU supporters were thinking about playing Baylor instead of Texas Tech, whew.....
sahen Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 Rebel, you should make it to Waco when they Bears play the Horns, Jawhawks, or Aggies in conference...teh Ferrel Center doesnt disappoint....that place is LOUD...
Rebel Yeller Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 I will check my schedule Thanks
