Lamar forward Jay Brown has been named the Southland Conference men's basketball player of the week, the league office announced Monday.
Brown averaged 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game while shooting .571 from the floor and .917 from the free-throw line in games against No. 9/10 Louisville and Texas Tech.
