WildcatsRule
Hmm.... Think of NASCAR more as a non-stop full throttle race to 500 miles.... Not just speed but stamina. We're gonna see lots of hands on the hips.

rollinac
Possible...they mainly wait until 3rd down and he gets quite a bit of rest. He'll take a couple of plays off and then get back in there. Teams have thought that before...Tivy thought the same thing and their offense is similar. Somehow he digs deep and makes a fumble/int (he took the ball away) with a minute to go.
fridaynightlights
Won't be any "subbing on 3rd downs". Not enough time for that homie. 12 men on the field or someone left uncovered if you try that.
fridaynightlights
The reason that ESPN called it NASCAR is not because of the "spread" or "the hurry up". They work on it in practice all the time. It is designed to fatigue the defense, therefore, taking away pass rush and making it hard for coverages. They will literally sprint up to the line and snap it. You better get your butt back and play defense or you will be in trouble quick. If you try to "sub", Ty will call for the snap and uh-oh. Not a good idea. If you want him on the field, get him on the field at change of posession/start of drive. He better be ready to sprint left, sprint right, come up and make a tackle, get back in coverage. Oh and go 15 yards down the field and get lined up again. Repeat. Constant running around. fridaynightlights
He will play both ways alot at the Alamodome. If you have someone that is giving us a little trouble, then we put #8 on them to lock them down. That is why SS's offense is so good this year. They have a lot of weapons. Like 5 or 6. You can't just shut down a couple and expect to have success. They literally use the whole field, vertically and horizontally, and every player. rollinac
Hey dumas...we do the same thing...how many times do I have to tell you that. You are thick headed. They can sprint up to the line all they want...HE'S STILL GOT TO CALL A PLAY...oh let me guess...they have a fire call for a particular play in case the defense tries to sub??? Guess what moron, all spread teams do that and your NASCAR offense isn't any different. Man you are dense. You think your boys are in such good shape that they can run deep routes without needing a break? They'll wait 'till you make a sub and they'll sub...try to run up to the line and get off a quick play when you make a sub...flag. Please stop coming on here and telling us things we already know...what's next...the sky's blue, death and taxes??
fridaynightlights
Ty calls the play while everyone is running to the line. Ref spots ball, we snap it. Everman tried to sub several times. 3 penalties for 12 men on the field.

fridaynightlights
All I'm saying is that whoever is on the field when the drive starts, is who stays on the field (unless there is a penalty or something). I guess you could sub, but he would have to literally sprint on the field while the other guy is sprinting off. He would probably have to cover a receiver in stride.
