Babolat Baller Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 it's still unclear at this time as to what tippett and atkinson are going to play. atkinson is looking to play singles and tippett is undecided because going to state in doubles is almost a sure fire and not much is known about the competition in singles for 2A district or regionals
garsnare Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 The 4 semi-finalist from last years 2A region III tournament all graduated. There were 3 champs and a superchamp last year and the super got 4th. It should be wide open this year, but you never know.

bayou_bengal Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 If Tippet and Atkinson play singles this year then they should both get 1st and 2nd in regionals. All the ones who graduated last year all were in the semis and the other ones that were there were pretty much nothing.

They just want to get as far as possible. but who knows
bayou_bengal Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 well if they play doubles they would probably struggle in regionals because there is some good teams in doubles. if they played singles then they would have a good chance at going to state because all the good singles players graduated last year
Babolat Baller Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Our coaches have talked to some of the other coaches in our region and they said that there were about 2 or 3 champs or superchamps out there in 2A regionals and only 1 good doubles team. But I think that Tippett and Atkinson have a better chance playing doubles again.

They just want to get as far as possible. but who knows They aren't going to play any doubles in the tourneys leading up to district? I know that they play alot together, but I would think they would play some doubles to keep the kinks out.
