Peter Griffin Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 Bears quote: "Sam Moore is also a excellent source, he can help you know what level your kid should pursue and he has excellent contacts and will do all he can to help." Don't forget Coach Griff being an excellent source, considering all the Bears that have went to college.
tgreen Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 i think both select and high school are great for the baseball players. it also depends on what the high school coach is willing to do. the select teams only make the high school team better. my brother played select ball in houston in middle 90's and their select team went to play all over the country. just about everyone on his high school team played select ball. then when it came time for high school ball at lcm, they went deep in the playoffs and in '96 went to the state championship game under griff and sam moore. just about all those players got scholarships for college. after the season... for the atletes that were not already signed... griff and and moore worked hard for these athletes to be seen at the next level. so i think it is a combination of select, high school, and the coaches!!!
