BUCman Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 They play tonight...Who's going to win?
sideline fan Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 I hope it is the Cards. They have had a good start this season only losing one game up to this point. Good luck Cardinals. Get that win streak going again.
TheCardinalFan Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 My only concern is that they come out flat tonight. Ten days with out playing will show early on in the game. My son tells me they have had good practices and have a better handle on the Offense. High Island has played this group from Warren several times over the last few years and I believe they have both won and lost equally. It should be a very good game. Cardinals play hard and give yourself a chance to win it in the 4th Period. It will take everything you have, so be ready when you hit the floor. Play Smart, keep your mouths shut and let the refs make the calls. It will be a good game to the end. Go CARDINALS!!!
BigTimePlayer Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 I say warren takes ths one by 7 pts. I will try to be there. Im ready to see for myself just how good the cards are, because thats all i have heard.

I think the last time HI beat Warren in a varsity baskeball game was in 2003-2004 at the Spurger tourney.Warren holds the edge in this series about 5-1 over the last 6 years. That being said HI has never played this group, these kids had never started a varsity game before this season. They are unpredictable so I'll say the game will be close.Usually the home court is worth a little but from what I'm hearing HI is improved so I'll go with Warren by 3. Warren-39 HI-36

I did not say anything about Varsity.
BUCman Posted December 18, 2008 Author Report Posted December 18, 2008 This was a very physical game to say the least. Warren jumped out to a big lead, but High Island fought back. The rust from an almost 2 week lay off hurt the Cards more than Warren's game did. The first half was very flat for the Cardinals, but the second half was way better and they showed the intensity and spirit that they showed the previous 6 games. The halftime score was 35-11, but the second half is was as even as you could ask for, 30-30. #2 can stroke it that is for sure. He singled handedly broke the Cards run going 12 for 12 from the free throw line in the 4th.
HoopInsider_Cooper Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 What was the final score guys?
