KFDM COOP
The timeline to find Ronnie Thompson's replacement at Memorial High will begin in January, a Port Arthur ISD official said today. Thompson stepped down as the football coach on the same day that Ozen basketball coach Andre Bouttay was named the PAISD's Executive Athletic Director, said Dr. Mark Porterie, an ISD spokesman. "The athletic director is going to be dealing with the high school. From what I am understanding, it will be the middle school through the 12th grade," he said. "And the executive athletic director is going to pull everyone together. All the coaches, elementary through the high school. They will be building a program and setting the foundation for a wonderful program in the future." Thompson's departure creates the third head coaching position to this point. Former Port Neches-Groves Matt Burnett was reassigned in November while Todd Moody, formerly of Little Cypress-Mauriceville, was reassigned a few weeks ago. outanup
Wasnt RT the head coach/ad ? If so you now have 2 ad positions and still have to hire a head coach. RT is still under contract through 2010, if my math is correct. Makes sense financially. LOL!!!!!!!!!
