adminbaberuth Posted December 18, 2008 Author Report Posted December 18, 2008 SFA85, I might not look as good as the former Bumble Bee baseball coach in uniform, but I can still hit fungo, and make it to 3rd base coach's box before my runner gets to 2nd. So, don't forget about me.

EX-Ceauxch Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 NO ONE can turn around the baseball/softball programs without better city leagues!!!! I told them that last time I interviewed for the Head Baseball job!!!
SFA85 Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 NO ONE can turn around the baseball/softball programs without better city leagues!!!! I told them that last time I interviewed for the Head Baseball job!!! True. It's not without parents, it's about the kids chosing football and basketball over little league baseball IMO....
EX-Ceauxch Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 I agree. I even gave them a 7 year plan and showed them how I would implement the youth programs along with the MS and HS. But, no dice!!! You still have kids that play baseball over there. They just go to mid-county or select teams to do it!!!
pngfan1 Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 just dont build a new stadium....cause apparently if u have a losing season after you build a new stadium they will find a new coach and you be left just babysitting the new stadium!!! But, it does pay good.

I definitely agree, like coach said they do have some that play occasionally play Babe Ruth or select ball. But there probably ain't enough of them interested enough.
Guest rykerx144 Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 the kids in PA do need something to do other than hang out in the streets. There are alot of great kids in Port Arthur that are being brought down by a city struggling to keep control. I hope someone can take over and make something good for the kids to look up too.
jake94 Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 Actually, the University of Phoenix is tied to Wall Street. It is owned by a company called Apollo Group. University of Phoenix is the largest online University in the world and has a real campuses as well in several major cities. rykerx144 that is a good one. ;D ;D ;D But they do need a new one!!! And I'm sure that SFA85 would offer Hampshire the Athletic Complex coordinator!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D The University of Phoenix does offer a degree in that I think!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Not a darn thing wrong with PU. I think they have their name on one of the bowls. I guess the only sponsor not tied to Wall Street. Anyway, don't need a new stadium. Some field turf maybe because the score board is the best(yes I said it) in the Golden Traiangle. Who needs a band when you have that sound system...
EX-Ceauxch Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 Thanks Jake94. That is good to know. Now that Wall Street is going down the toilet i can wipe my BUM with my UP degree and flush it too!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Exibit 'A'. The PA Cowboys trip to the Pop Warner Championships in Florida..... Like I said, it's about choices. There are 3 or 4 PW teams in PA and probably less than that number in little leagues. Same with Little League/AAU basket ball and track. It's about the kids chosing other sports than baseball. I still think if Central's baseball team can have a good season along with their soccer team, anybody who's willing to put the work in can turn around the baseball/softball programs in PA enough to make the playoffs at least....
