The baseball/softball programs would be a gigantic challange to turn around but with the right folks in place, especially you, BRuth, we can do it......

True.  It's not without parents, it's about the kids chosing football and basketball over little league baseball IMO....

I agree. I even gave them a 7 year plan and showed them how I would implement the youth programs along with the MS and HS. But, no dice!!! You still have kids that play baseball over there. They just go to mid-county or select teams to do it!!!

just dont build a new stadium....cause apparently if u have a losing season after you build a new stadium they will find a new coach and you be left just babysitting the new stadium!!!

True.  It's not without parents, it's about the kids chosing football and basketball over little league baseball IMO....

I definitely agree, like coach said they do have some that play occasionally play Babe Ruth or select ball. But there probably ain't enough of them interested enough.

the kids in PA do need something to do other than hang out in the streets. There are alot of great kids in Port Arthur that are being brought down by a city struggling to keep control.  I hope someone can take over and make something good for the kids to look up too.

Actually, the University of Phoenix is tied to Wall Street. It is owned by a company called Apollo Group. University of Phoenix is the largest online University in the world and has a real campuses as well in several major cities.

Exibit 'A'.  The PA Cowboys trip to the Pop Warner Championships in Florida.....

Like I said, it's about choices.  There are 3 or 4 PW teams in PA and probably less than that number in little leagues.  Same with Little League/AAU basket ball and track.  It's about the kids chosing other sports than baseball.  I still think if Central's baseball team can have a good season along with their soccer team, anybody who's willing to put the work in can turn around the baseball/softball programs in PA enough to make the playoffs at least....
