becktobigs Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Bryan Campbell, the barefoot punter, had another shoe that he used went he doubled as a wide receiver. In Ray Alborn's run-and-shoot, they always needed extra receivers. Of course, Bryan was from way up in the woods, Alto. Do they wear shoes there?
DP#1FAN Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Good stuff! Can't wait to see that type of effort again.
PURPLE 4EVER Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Can't watch the video yet, but I was there on the field (trainer for the team at the time). I remember Lamar being in the game, getting the ball in the 4th quarter, if we scored we would have gone ahead, we tried a double reverse with a pitch back to the QB, the receiver was wide open, but the QB got sacked and the tide turned for the rest of the game. Talk about an amazing facility! We played at (what used to be the Fiesta Bowl). The playing surface was like a putting green, the best field I have ever been on. Talk about some memories. The team had a good time on the trip to Pheonix.
Guest FPHS 78 Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 oh yeah...forgot our pants....had to wear az st. whites ???
AJ25 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 One thing that stands out in the video.. Announcer says"We salute the Cardinals from Lamar.. From Beaumont, Texas. We all know who they are now.. They've put forth in this ballgame an effort to be proud of."The announce said that right at the end of this video.Shows how close they must have been to being a great team, but still got cut. Let's hope this time around is different
