Guest coachacola Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 92-53 LU with a little over 4 minutes left. Custer, Worrell and Williams haven't played a minute in this game. Charlie Harper has played 22 minutes but only has 2 points on 0-6 shooting, but he does have 5 rebounds. Dawkins and McThay have both over 20 points, Hall, Miles and Brown have scored in double digits.
LUFAN Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 When are we going to be some what healthy.. I mean come on.. We have Custer, Worrell, Williams, and Nwevo out.. We need to get healthy... If we do not have 3 of those players back we are going to be hurting going in the conference play and against Memphis.
Guest mffl Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 I didn't think we played that great. Defense was sloppy in 2nd half. The freshmen got owned the last 5 minutes of the game, but nice shot by Matt Pace. I think it was good to get Harper back on the floor, he was definitely rusty, but you gotta shake that off somehow. I hope he was resting Worrell and Custer just because it was St. Gregory's. I wonder what Nwevo's status is?!?

I noticed that he was limping last night. I was also told that Nwevo will apply for a Medical Redshirt this season and will be back next season with Nabors. I expect Custer to be out a few weeks if not longer......hope I am wrong!!!!
LUFAN Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I sure hope this is not the case. We are having a great season but that could all turn if we keep having all these injuries.. We need Skylar and Tristan back minimum. We need Coy to have a decent rotation.
Guest coachacola Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 The Memphis game doesn't look good with Custer out, Worrell not 100%, and Harper very rusty. Not much depth up front against a very athletic team. I wouldn't be surprised if Nwevo gets a medical redshirt, the season's half over and he's not played a minute. It's best to have him and Nabors back next year, both healthy.
weslinder Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I was really disappointed in Lamar's performance last night. They shot well, and that's all. They let the game get really sloppy at times. If they were playing a better team than St. Gregory's, it would have been horrible.
LUFAN Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Wes. They were so playing down to their opponents level and still blew them out... Plus we are very very very short handed... It is hard to keep a high level of intensity when the opponent is that bad. I would have rather played LSPCA...
Guest coachacola Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 The paper said there were only 10 players for LU suited up. I hope that's not the case for the Memphis game or Lamar's in serious trouble.
