The Woodlands, Texas wide receiver Ryan Eastman turned in a good senior season as a dual-position threat and those skills have drawn the attention of some schools.

"Really nothing is new for me," the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Eastman said. "I'm talking to Lamar right now. I'm also hearing from Sam Houston and Abilene Christian.

"I am kind of leaning toward Lamar. I don't have a visit lined up yet and they have not offered me a scholarship yet."

Eastman helped The Woodlands into the Texas high school football playoffs.

"We lost in second reound of playoffs. It was a good year, really. I played both quarterback and wide receiver. I played quarterback in the red zone. I started as receiver and was the backup quarterback.

"I'd like to play quarterback in college. Lamar is recruiting me as a quarterback and if it doesn't work out, then I'd play wide receiver. Some of the bigger schools have talked to me about tight end, too."

Eastman scored 10 touchdowns on the ground while rushing for 177 yards. He caught five touchdowns and threw for two more scores while throwing for 195 yards.
